The City of Sedgwick contracts with Waste Connections to provide residents with refuse services. We ask that residents have their receptacles at the curb by 6 AM to avoid any interruptions in service. Trash outside of the provided receptacle is not guaranteed to be picked up. This service is part of the monthly utility service that appears on your utility bill.
Pickup Schedule:
Trash – Every Thursday
Recycle – Every other Thursday
Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, trash will be picked up Friday morning.

Trash and Recycling services are regulated by Ordinance 668.
Please note: If you would like to change the size of your trash cart, Waste Connections charges a fee of $25 for this service. Your City bill will reflect this charge.

Burn Site & Limb Yard - City of Sedgwick Residents ONLY!
The Sedgwick burn site, compost and limb yard is a service of the city for our residents only. The site is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk. It is the decision of city maintenance as to when the site is open or closed. Access may be denied to the site due to weather or illegal dumping. If you see someone dumping illegally, please notify Sedgwick City Hall. Illegal dumping may cause the site to be closed indefinitely by the state.
Annual City-Wide Cleanup
Every year the city along with the cooperation of Waste Connections holds a City-Wide Cleanup. Date will be determined annually.
