City Wide Clean-up will be the following dates:
FRIDAY, MAY 9TH - Special Electronic Recycling pickup (all computer
parts/drives, video games, cell phones, fax machines, printers, calculators,
cameras, TVs, cable boxes, telephone systems, PDA's, audio & visual
equipment. Also flattened corrugated cardboard & metals will be picked
up. SATURDAY, MAY 10TH - Items that can be crushed in garbage truck
compactor, Plus white goods, stoves, dishwashers, etc. Refrigerators, freezers,
air conditioners, MUST BE FREON FREE AND TAGGED BY A LICENSED PLUMBER.
Also, large furniture, mattresses, hot water tanks, scrap metal must be in
throw-away containers, construction debris must be tied in 3' x 2'
bundles. Loose items such as tile must be in containers.
A bin for Tires (rims must be removed) will be located at 316 N Washington
(City Shop) from 8AM to 11AM on Saturday only. Tires will not be picked up
by the contract haulers at individual homes.

Sedgwick [SG], county. Sedgwick is located within a
triangle formed by Hutchinson, Newton, and Wichita which is an ideal
location to attract residents who want the pleasures of small town living
while being close to big city jobs. Sedgwick's goal is to grow slowly
in population so that our small town amenities remain. Sedgwick is
well positioned to reach this goal. New housing is being developed.
The schools and city work together and have set their sites on these same
goals.
