Water, sewer, trash and recycling services are provided
by the City of Sedgwick. One utility bill for all of these
services is mailed on the 1st of the month and is due by the 20th.
Utility payments are to be paid in full on a monthly basis.
STANDARD HOUSEHOLD TRASH PICK-UP EVERY WEDNESDAY - Trash
should be bagged. You may fill up to three (3) 32-gallon
containers. Residents provide their own containers. Trash
should be placed at the front edge of your property by 6:00 am.
Containers may be put out as early as 6:00 pm, Tuesday and must be
removed by 6:00 am, Thursday. No alley pick-ups
What to put in your household trash containers: Regular
household trash (except for items that can be recycled), small
appliances.
What NOT to put in your household trash containers: Automotive parts, construction, remodeling or demolition debris, grass
clippings, household hazardous waste, items too large to fit into the
container, leaves and other yard waste, recyclable materials (see
recycle section for a list of these items), regulated medical waste,
rocks, concrete or dirt, tree limbs
Trash should be kept in containers that are watertight, leak-proof
and weatherproof, and equipped with tight-fitting lids or doors to
prevent entrance of insects and animals. All containers shall be
kept closed at all times, except when depositing or removing
materials. Don't commingle trash with recyclables. Any
commingling may result in refusal to accept the commingled refuse.
If trash is refused, a notice will be left to identify the
problem. Blue and green recycling bags should not be used for
refuse. *If Wednesday is a holiday, trash pickup will be Thursday.
CURBSIDE RECYCLING PICK-UP EVERY SECOND AND FOURTH TUESDAY - Following
you will find the dates for recycling pick-up for 2008.
2008 RECYCLING DAYS:
